Giving Options
The names of people who contribute are added to the Honor Roll of Donors. Here are a few funds and programs you can choose to donate to support the development and growth of Lincoln and get your name added to the list!
- The Lincoln Fund: Did you know that tuition and fees only cover 45% of the costs to educate a student? Donations to the Lincoln Fund help to bridge the gap between revenue and expenses. Money donated to the fund goes directly into the university's budget for the next year. Gifts may be unrestricted or restricted: unrestricted gifts are used for areas that are in most need of financial support. Restricted gifts can be designated for areas that are in most need of annual support, or earmarked for another specific purpose.
- Lincoln Society: Members of The Lincoln Society support the University with a gift of $1,000 or more. These investments help Lincoln to enrich the lives of all of our students
- 1854 Society: Join the 1854 Society by giving to Lincoln via planned or estate donations and providing funding for scholarships or programs for years to come.
- Endowments and Planned Gifts: Endowment gifts are permanently invested to supply a steady, annual source of funds. The minimum contribution is $25,000. How the endowed funds are spent is decided by the donor and the university. Planned giving gives you the option to donate via your will, stocks, or retirement accounts.
- Athletics: Athletics are a key part of the Lincoln experience for many students and a source of pride for the school. Funds designated for Lincoln Athletics enhance the student-athlete experience by channeling resources to scholarships, short-term facility needs, and program expenses across Lincoln’s 14 intercollegiate teams. The fund also helps the university attract the best scholar-athletes and promote its mission of service to others.
- Student Giving: You don't have to wait until graduation to start giving back. Students who donate at least $25 to the university can wear special Philanthropy Cords with their cap and gown during commencement.
- Other Gifts: The University’s development team can speak with you and/or your financial advisor regarding other types of gifts, including real and personal property.
