The motivation for this project is the need to initiate discussion to reimagine modern day liberal arts education in such a way that addresses the challenges and opportunities that big data brought to the 21st century market economy. Among the many challenges and opportunities of this digital age, data revolution is at the center. With explosion in volume and complexity of data, the need for professionals with the right skills to manipulate, analyze and extract relevant information and knowledge from the bulk of data available in the market is growing exponentially. Such knowledge helps companies’ decision-making process tremendously and gives them a competitive edge in the current market economy. As a result, data literacy has become a very essential and marketable skill that graduates in every discipline including students in liberal arts majors must acquire.
On September 3, 2021 Executive Order Executive Order 14041, White House Initiative on advancing Educational Equity, Excellence and Economic Opportunity through Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) was signed. As a result the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) developed the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Initiative Program. A working committee was established to work with HBCUs especially those with aviation and aerospace programs. Lincoln University currently does not have such a program but we can be uniquely positioned to take advantage of these opportunities through the expansion our Unoccupied (Unmanned, Unpersonned) Aircraft Systems (UAS) or commonly known as drones that are currently available on campus.
The purpose of this research project is to develop personal finance curriculum that can be offered as a part of the General Education coursework. The curriculum to be designed should take current knowledge of financial literacy deficiencies along with current software advances to develop a robust course that offers students a non-traditional, real-world approach to learning how to manage money.
Who are the Beautyful Ones?
Which are the Development States of Southern Africa Being Studied and Why are they considered Development States?
The result of the Successful Development States in Southern Africa, can best be cited by saying that: the Beautiful Ones Have Been Born and they are seizing the time. Youth are no longer looking back at Colonialism, they are looking forward, through the Development independence brought about in the Development States.
I was awarded a faculty development grant for SU22 to travel to present at the 72nd Annual International Communication Association Conference (ICA), Paris, France, May 2022. The following goals and objectives were stated in my proposal:
I was awarded a Faculty Research and Development Grant for SU22 to catalog Lincoln University’s private collection of transcripts, books, manuscripts, documents, correspondence, coursework, artwork, and personal effects bequeathed to the university by Langston Hughes. An international treasure and an intellectual site of cultural patrimony, Lincoln’s collection of over 1,000 document pages and items is housed in the basement of the Langston Hughes Memorial Library and had not previously been cataloged or documented anywhere on any digital or analog platform.
We have focused our initial DFT calculations on CdSe clusters. They are well studied experimentally and the results of our calculations can be readily compared to the existing data and thus we can also verify the robustness of our approach. We have previously used DFT and TDDFT to perform calculations on CdSe quantum dots with attached ligands. We have obtained results on Cd10Se4(X)12(L)12, Cd20Se10(X)20(L)20, Cd35Se20(X)30(L)30, and Cd56Se35(X)42(L)42 (X=OH, L=NH3). TDDFT of the four clusters show absorption peaks centered at 4.59 eV, 4.00 eV, 3.54 eV and 3.44 eV, respectively. We previously reported that the results for Cd35Se20(X)30(L)30, and Cd56Se35(X)42(L)42 compare relatively well with reported experimental data of 3.54 eV and 3.26 eV for similar sized clusters. The cores of the optimized structures maintain the tetrahedral structures of the starting geometries to a large degree, also supported by experimental pair distribution function (pdf) structure data.
The primary goal of this project was to improve my motion design skills. I enrolled in online motion graphics courses developed by the School of Motion. The purpose of the project was to also support my development of new teaching methods and materials for motion design courses as well as increase engagement and for students.
My research explores the principles governing faithful chromosome inheritance. Diverse lines of investigation show that the tetrameric Chromosomal Passenger Complex (CPC) is responsible for the timely and accurate orchestration of mitotic events needed for proper cell division. My long-term research goal is to determine the mechanism by which the CPC is recruited into the inner centromere and the mode of CPC-chromatin interaction. This ambitious goal is being worked on continuously and in collaboration with investigators at UPenn.

To collect in one place paper and digital copies of the collective works of and about Dr. Hildrus Poindexter. To write a short biographical sketch on Dr. Poindexter to submit to an appropriate journal. The journals named in the introduction would be the most appropriate as those are the ones in which he published the most. To develop teaching modules for two freshmen level classes on Hildrus Poindexter.

German- Austrian pediatrician Theodor Escherich discovered bacteria in the feces of healthy individuals in 1885 and called it Bacterium coli commune because it is found in the colon.
