Sigma Tau Delta, International English Honor Society, began in 1924 to confer distinction for high achievement in English language, literature, and writing.
Dedicated to fostering literacy and all aspects of the discipline of English, Sigma Tau Delta is the largest honors organization in the field of English studies and is the second largest member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) with over 900 chapters in the United States and abroad. Nationally, the society adds around 8,500 new members annually, and gives out over $40,000 in scholarship and awards.
Lincoln University’s Alpha Zeta Delta chapter has been founded since 1996 and has been active in serving the university and local community through its outreach and volunteer efforts.
