Senior Executive Assistant to General Counsel, Office of the General Counsel
Adriona Smith serves as the Senior Executive Assistant to the General Counsel and the Manager of the Office of Board of Trustees here at Lincoln University.
Adriona is from Mooresville, NC. She graduated from Mooresville Senior High School in 2018. She attended Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, NC and graduated Cum Laude in May of 2022 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Management.
While attending Winston-Salem State, Adriona was heavily involved around campus. Her freshman year, she joined a student-led organization titled, Campus Life Marketing Committee and remained in the organization, eventually becoming President of the organization her senior year. She also became the Business Law Teacher Assistant at WSSU in 2020 alongside her professor, Venus D. Boston. In her time as a teacher assistant, she supported her professor with test administration, curriculum development and assignment grading. Lastly, Adriona was also an employee of WSSU’s Housing & Residence Life from 2019-2022, ultimately becoming the Head Resident Advisor in Haywood L. Wilson Residence Hall in the spring of 2021 during the global pandemic. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
Prior to her role at the university, Adriona gained the Higher Education Administrative experience while working at Hampton University as a Freshman Residence Hall Director. She learned to be a collaborative leader with dedication to partnering with coworkers to promote engaged, empowering work culture. She demonstrated and established documented strengths in building and maintaining relationships with diverse range of stakeholders in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
Adriona considers herself a strong, independent, ambitious young professional. She is grateful for Lincoln University granting her the opportunity to excel in her career.
