Dr. Hope E. Dameron, DBA, MBA
Chair and Associate Professor, Business & Entrepreneurial Studies Department
Dr. Hope Elizabeth Dameron received a BS in Business from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, an MBA in Finance from Temple University, and a DBA in Financial Management from Northcentral University. Presently, she is an Assistant Professor of Finance and Economics in the Department of Business and Entrepreneurial Studies at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to her appointment to Lincoln University in 2018, Dr. Dameron accumulated 20+ years of clinical experience in the field of finance and accounting. Working with businesses that ranged from private owned to Fortune 500 international companies, she held many roles including Investment Accountant, Financial Analyst, and Finance Manager. Dr. Dameron has organized and led finance teams both domestically and internationally, and was responsible for constructing corporate finance policies, and overseeing large scale audits and routine financial reporting.
Dr. Dameron has a personal passion to provide effective financial literacy curriculum to both adults and children. She taught a budgeting and finance course to adult learners as a part of a certificate program at her local church (2005-2007). Dr. Dameron also conducted research at high schools in the tri-state area to evaluate the personal finance curricula being offered to students (2014-2017). And eagerly shared budgeting tips with a local teen group in Delaware County (2019). In line with continuing this passion to promote financial literacy, Dr. Dameron was a presenter at the 2019 Annual Conference on Financial Education, where she discussed the dynamics of presenting finance curriculum in a mixed classroom setting.
Dr. Dameron has been appointed to serve on the General Education committee and the Writing Committee at Lincoln University. She is also the coordinator for the Sigma Beta Delta International Business Honor Society. In addition to this service Dr. Dameron enjoys mentoring current students enrolled at Lincoln University, and also meeting with potential future students and their parents.
