Dear Lincoln Community,

It pains us deeply to inform you of the loss of one of our Lions.

Jamain Pink, a senior criminal justice student in his last semester, died tragically this week.

Our deepest sorrow and most sincere condolences go out to Jamain’s family, his young son, and to all who loved him. Jamain was a student-athlete on the football team; we stand in solidarity with his many teammates at this saddest and difficult time.

“Our hearts and prayers go out to the family of Jamain Pink,” said Head Football Coach Josh Dean. “We love and miss him dearly. He meant a lot to our program, and we are better for him being a part of the Lincoln Lion family.”

We ask everyone in our community to volunteer support to anyone who may need it. Our Counseling Services team and chaplain are available to anyone who wishes to talk with them about this tragic event. You may make an appointment at Counseling Services by calling 484-365-7244. Outside of normal hours, students may call Crisis Intervention at 877-918-2100.

Jamain’s death reminds us that we are all Lions. We study, work, and play together; we must also draw together as we grieve.

Sincerely,
