The Office of Student Life and Development is committed to serving the students of Lincoln University. In an effort to continue developing strong leaders and productive citizens, we offer Community Service.
Any students interested in joining any of our Greek or Social Fellowship organizations must satisfy the community service requirement, which is 30 hours to be considered eligible by University standards
Community Service Projects are either office-sponsored, coordinated by an individual student, or created by student organizations. All projects are intended to strengthen students’ sense of civic engagement and nationalism, and to help them achieve their educational, developmental, and social goals. The office provides transportation to office-sponsored projects and the projects are generally one-time projects. Students interested in service opportunities can find them on the Engage Lincoln Lions website where community service opportunities are posted. Sign up dates are advertised with each project via Lincoln University Student Wire and the Engage platform! For projects coordinated by students and student organizations, students must visit contact the Director of Community Service to gain approval for the event in advance.
Ultimately, our office aims to provide students with the opportunity to serve surrounding communities and to develop long lasting partnerships with various community-based organizations and businesses, as well as create meaningful and purposeful interactions with their peers and neighbors.
