Housing Selection Information

Overall Selection Process

  • For current/returning students, the housing application is live 3/30/25 - 4/6/25 in the THD housing portal. Return to same room is 4/14/25, ASL selection is 4/15/25, remainder of selection is 4/16/25 - 4/18/25. To participate in selection you must have no Financial holds on your Self Service portal, be judicially cleared, have submitted your 2025-2026 FAFSA, and completed the housing application.

FAFSA 

  • For round 1 of returning student housing selection 4/14 - 4/18 you must have completed your FAFSA by March 24th. For the later rounds of housing selection over the summer you will still need to have a 2025-2026 FAFSA on file.

Bills

  • Your Self Service portal will be updated starting the first week of June with your Fall 2025 housing charges. Your housing rate is dependent on meal plan and building selected. (for example Apartment Style Living has an increased rate than a standard double).

Housing Selection Lottery

  • For all eligible returning students for round 1 of housing selection, lottery numbers are randomly assigned. There are NO lottery numbers for return to same room. You must go into the THD housing portal between 9am-5pm on Monday 4/14 and select to return to your same room.
  • If you do not participate in return to same room and are eligible to participate in ASL selection, you will receive your selection lottery time in the THD housing portal for ASL selection by 6pm on 4/14. ASL selection will run from 9am-5pm on 4/15.
  • If you do not participate in return to same room or ASL selection, you will receive your selection lottery time in the THD housing portal by 6pm on 4/15. You can join the selection process starting with your lottery time until 4/18/25; you do not have to join at your lottery time, you can join later, but not before your lottery time.
  • You may not receive an email with your lottery information, you will need to check the THD housing portal for updates.

Meals

  • Upperclassmen students will have the choice of 19 meals per week which comes with 100 Flex Dollars per semester or 14 meals per week which comes with 50 flex dollars per semester to be used at one of many campus eateries 
  • You can add more flex dollars to your account via the Bursar's office. 
  • After the add/drop date you are not allowed to change your meal plan.

First Year Housing Information

  • Stay tuned to information shared from the Admissions department.
  • Your room deposit must be paid before you are placed in a room, it is included in the $275 admissions fee.
  • You will receive an email with your housing placement.
  • We do our best to house students with their preferred roommate but being housed with your preferred roommate is not guaranteed.
  • In order to move in you will need to have the following clearances: Health, Financial, and Course Registration.
