Lincoln University has a long and distinguished tradition of honoring the human spirit and nurturing its development. Students are encouraged to consider larger questions about their purpose and role in this world. As they examine their values and beliefs, they gain a greater appreciation for beliefs different than their own and respect for those who hold those beliefs. The aim is to provide students with a foundation that will help them integrate personal beliefs with professional demands and prepare them to learn, liberate and lead lives of integrity, civility and compassion.
Mission: The Office of the Dean of Students promotes community expectations and the University's core values of Respect, Responsibility and Results. The Dean of Students works to ensure a safe residential campus community and provide educational programs and exemplary co-curricular experiences reflective of Lincoln's mission, distinctive legacy and core values.
The Office: The Office of the Dean of Students directly oversees the areas of Residence Life, Student Life & Development, and Student Conduct, Student Government Association, and Rights and Reponsibilities. The office is responsible for collaborating with Class Deans, the Associate Vice President of Health & Wellness and the Associate Vice President for High Impact Practices to promote Student Success.
